This great looking crib in the Hollywood Hills is being haled as the “Home of the Year” by quite a few journalists and we are putting our vote behind that statement. Built as the ultimate 7,000 sq/ft bachelor pad by Temple Home this home has all the tech you can imagine. More
The most significant feature is a new short stroke gas piston designed by Ruger. It shares the same benefits as other gas pistons system: a cleaner, cooler bolt carrier as the excess gas it vented out the gas block, far from the upper receiver. The AR-15 was not designed for a piston and retrofit piston systems can cause problems, for example the pressure from the piston operating rob can cause the bolt carrier to bind. It was been suggested that the Ruger bolt carrier is designed to mitigate this particular problem.

Another feature is a four position gas regulator. The first position prevents any gas entering the piston system. This turns the rifle into a single shot which requires the bolt to be manually cycled between shots. The next position allows the normal quantity of gas into the piston system to cycle the bolt. The next two position each let in more gas than the previous system which can help when the rifle is dirty or the ammunition is low powered. It is a compelling feature for reloaders because it gives them a greater range of adjustment for thier powder loads. The MSRP is $1,995. It is expensive and you could build one your self from parts for less, but if the gas system works flawlessly then I think it will be a good seller.

This is what happens when you take a classic design of the Toyota Land-Cruisers and re-build them with the passion of the original look and feel but updated with today’s tech. That’s what ICON does with its FJ packages that allow owners to completely customize the look and feel with old school or new school packages. TLC’s ICON was born because Toyota commissioned TLC to build prototypes for the new FJ that was released in 2007. Although Toyota didn’t use TLC’s designs that were inspired by the classic FJ’s of old, Johnathan Ward who is the founder of TLC decided to custom build them himself. More

Audi will introduce its facelifted Q7 in India next year. The new Audi Q7 will go on sale in Europe soon. Some of the changes in the 2010 Q7 include a restyled grille, tweaked lights with Audi’s LED technology and a slightly tweaked chin, but there’s no way you can mistake the Q7 for anything else.
Audi has also developed a ‘clean diesel’ version of the 3.0-litre V6 TDi which is reputed to be Euro 6 compliant and uses an AdBlue catalyst, but whether this version will be available in India isn’t clear. The 4.2-litre FSI petrol has been retained and the monstrous 6.0-litre V12 TDi will not make it to India.

Not many people are aware of Ferrari’s XX-rated program. This program creates a series of super cars that bridge the gap between road and track. Just so we get the important stuff out of the way, under the hood is a V12 that produces 700 horsepower at a stratospheric 9,000 RPM. More

Currently just a concept, but if built, the 2009 300 SL Panamericana from Gullwing-America promises to update the original with technology from 50 years later. More
