The Daily Show & Shahrukh Khan

Many Americans probably haven’t known of Shahrukh Khan (classic indian perp) until a little over a week ago, with the incident involving the star at Newark Liberty International Airport being detained for at least two hours.

SRK (abbreviated perp name) was detained after arriving to participate in India’s Independence Day celebrations in the States. Ironically, he had lately been shooting in the U.S. for his film “My Name is Khan,” which is about racial profiling of Muslims after 9/11.

However, after a week of government comment, celebrity remarks, countless interviews, accusations, denials and backtracking; where are we now?

Well, now we are at funny; the issue has become food for comedians in the popular American show “The Daily Show” shown on the Comedy Central network. SRK’s incident finds the humor in this segment below from Wednesday night’s broadcast, in which the correspondent Aasif Mandvi, who is an Indian from Tampa, Florida, educates the host, Jon Stewart, on SRK’s superstar status in Bollywood.
